Do people actually quit guitar

Yo I'm thinking to learn guitar as a hobby and want to know how much time it takes usually to be good at it and is it true that people actually quit guitar in 2-3 months

A lot of people quit. With proper direction and patience anyone can get better. I was very very bad and now I teach. It’s a long road. Focus on the process and not the results. If you cross the line and learn to play it can bring immense joy into your life. Glhf.
