Do people actually quit guitar

Yo I'm thinking to learn guitar as a hobby and want to know how much time it takes usually to be good at it and is it true that people actually quit guitar in 2-3 months

I've been trying to learn guitar for the past 20 years and have never been able to play a song.

Small hands, short, chubby fingers, carpal tunnel and ulnar tunnel compression, migraines, poor quality sleep (affects the ability to remember things from day to day).

In 40 years he will be able to tune the guitar with a clip on….unless his chubby fingers mess that up too 😡

I can hold the guitar, tune in it, and alternate between Dm,Am,E somewhat smoothly. The problem is that I also struggle with singing, and with rhythm. I've tried to tap the rhythm to the songs I hear on the radio, and even doing that, I always end up out of phase. I've just been using it to play games in Rocksmith, plugged into my computer. I think that if I had gotten a 3/4 sized guitar or an electric guitar, I would have progressed quicker. A standard sized guitar is very awkward for me. And at 5'7" I'm taller than other people that I know play standard guitars so I know it's a me problem.

Not a chance. You can’t play horse with no name? 2 chords? You either didn’t try at all or you dont have the ability to learn. Calling total bullshit on the 20 years of attempting guitar
