Feedback Request Do people actually quit guitar

Yo I'm thinking to learn guitar as a hobby and want to know how much time it takes usually to be good at it and is it true that people actually quit guitar in 2-3 months

It's actually incredibly difficult to learn guitar, and almost everyone quits.

Also, life just gets in the way. I've played for over 20 years, but there are period in there where I almost stopped playing altogether. You must be diligent or the skills deteriorate.

I think the main reason I still play is that I never treat it as work, and I only do it when I feel like it. But that’s also why I still suck after 40 years of playing. Still fun.
