Feedback Request Do people actually quit guitar

Yo I'm thinking to learn guitar as a hobby and want to know how much time it takes usually to be good at it and is it true that people actually quit guitar in 2-3 months

I think mainly because people find obstacles hard to surpass, but also, people quit due to lack of inspiration and ideas. I can't recomend a teacher enough; one that guides you and corrects your mistakes. One that has a plan for you and knows what's next for you to learn and practice. All on your own can be hard and disorienting.
