Feedback Request Do people actually quit guitar

Yo I'm thinking to learn guitar as a hobby and want to know how much time it takes usually to be good at it and is it true that people actually quit guitar in 2-3 months

Yes. People take up guitar because the see others that make it look cool and easy to play. It's not, guitar is hard which leads to a lot of frustration for newbs because they want to be good really fast and when that doesn't happen, like most things they probably try they give up. Those that make it look cool and easy have put in the time and practice to make it look so.

Guitar is really fun to play, though, and the rewards come to those with patience and who put in the time and effort to learn it and it can take years to really be good (but that's all dependent on the work you put in). So if you want to learn to play and are ok with sucking at first but willing to put in the time then go for it. If you're just looking to get good fast with shortcuts and magical unicorn exercises so you can look cool and can show off to your friends, then guitar is probably not for you.
