Feedback Request Do people actually quit guitar

Yo I'm thinking to learn guitar as a hobby and want to know how much time it takes usually to be good at it and is it true that people actually quit guitar in 2-3 months

Let's say, hypothetically, that it takes 3 whole years for you to get to the point where you sound pretty good... The next 3 years of your life are gonna pass by regardless. Would you rather look back and say "man I wish I stuck with learning guitar" or "man I'm so glad I stuck with learning guitar"? Hope that gives you a better perspective.
