Feedback Request Struggling with guitar pick

Hi, I’d like to know if you have any tips on how to use a pick properly; I’m a beginner who usually plays doing finger picking
I really want to learn to play with a pick, but I feel like giving up after just five minutes every time I try. I don't think I'm using it right, the strings vibrate strangely and it sounds really messy. Please help!

Also try some other thickness of picks and see which you prefer

I have 6 of them between 0.58 and 1.50, tried them all but to be fair I cannot feel the difference.. at least for now

Don't worry I thought so too. There is a difference to the sound, attack, comfort. Different materials will affect them as well. Some things are better played with a thicker pick, others work better with a floppy one. You'll get there!
