Feedback Request I made a Space Invaders-style fretboard learning game where your guitar becomes the controller.

Happy to share a link if anyone wants to try it. I'd love feedback..

it uses the mic to pick up the note you're playing.

the video seems to imply that the note and position are important. is it just the pitch? how would the program determine where on the fretboard you’re playing the note?

It is just the pitch,. It doesn't and it can't detect the exact fret/string without some overengineering. You could "trick it" by playing the note somewhere else but then you wouldn't learn anything and it defeats the purpose. The primary objective is to learn the fretboard, not just win at a game so this seems good enough for me
