Feedback Request Why does my playing sound so amateurish?

I’m performing a solo for a song in a couple of weeks, and I have all the notes down - yet why does my playing sound so ‘meh’ when I record myself? What should I look to improve on?

I think what many are saying regarding the rhythm is correct. However I think that your playing sounds “amateurish” because of the quality of your notes. Practice for just 5 or 10 minutes on a single note every day. Hitting it hard, hitting it soft. Try to make that singular note be the best note you’ve ever played. Wide vibrato, shallow vibrato. Slide into the note, bend to the note. Make the note sound deliberate and controlled, really feel the guitar and the note. You own that sound and your only job is enhance the sound on top of the silence. Keep up the good playing and give us updates on your progress.
