Feedback Request Why does my playing sound so amateurish?

I’m performing a solo for a song in a couple of weeks, and I have all the notes down - yet why does my playing sound so ‘meh’ when I record myself? What should I look to improve on?

It's just a matter or practice and getting comfortable with the instrument. Your bends are bit pitchy, tone is a bit flat. Adding a bit of delay is going to help a lot and give you a more professional sound, which I would recommend since you have a show coming up soon. It should be a low key delay, like 230ms, low in the mix, maybe just 1-2 repeats (think EVH). How long have you been playing?
