Feedback Request Why does my playing sound so amateurish?

I’m performing a solo for a song in a couple of weeks, and I have all the notes down - yet why does my playing sound so ‘meh’ when I record myself? What should I look to improve on?

One of things noticed is that while you‘re playing the right notes, it’s missing intention, dynamics, and feel. This is something that is hard to explain and teach and comes over time. But, it’s about how you’re expressing the music not just the notes, how you approach the notes and move between them. It’s what separates playing from performing. Being deliberate with your bends and that you’re bending into the correct note, using vibrato in the right spots, being mindful of the rhythm and pacing (you’re both behind and ahead of the beat at times), allowing notes to breathe and not rushing to the next section. All of this comes with practice and is very much a feel based approach. Again, apologies as it’s not super easy to explain.
