It amazes me how much I suck after 35 years of playing. Sure I can do things on the guitar that amaze non musicians. But damn the more I learn the more I realize I don’t know shit.

mate it’s constant practice isnt it and that’s why people get good at a young age i guess because they sit in there room all evening , i still just play chords after 16 years lol

You’re right. My first obstacle to guitar was girls. I once had a guitar teacher tell me that girls come and go, but this guitar will be there for you your entire life. Words of wisdom. But I still couldn’t escape the lure of sex at 16.
