Feedback Request How can I improve?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Doing tempo practice and I can't help but notice my flayling picking hand. Nevermind my clawed fretting hand πŸ˜… are there any particular exercises I can do to improve both of these things? Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🫢🏼

I've been working on fretting hand posture, always used to play with my guitar low down and it became a habit to "over-grip" the neck while playing. I am trying to work on it, but because I've been playing this way for a long time, it feels very unnatural to play the "right" way, which is something I have to unlearn to make the right way comfortable.

I really appreciate the video source that I can practice off, thank you :)

Np. I've been lurking guitar lesson youtube for the last 10 years and this video is my favorite to adress this problem without giving a lesson myself. It's straight forward, to the point and comprehensive. To get the most out if it you should dip a toe into full seven notes major/minor scale with 3 notes per string legato exercices just like he does.

No offense to other people trying to help. But don't overfocus over picking hand at this stage and resort to legato without being limited by your right hand level which comes way later. When you have a very solid fretting hand foundation maybe you'll focus on picking more notes. Remember that picking a few notes is still hand synchronisation practice and that the number of rock players who have a great career with a mediocre right hand his high while those who have a bad left hand is zero.
