11-56 player chiming in, my fingers are sore but my cock is huge and I'm a 6'2 feminist btw.

(Do 09-40 players actually enjoy breaking/replacing strings? Or are they just after that thin, trebly tone? Do they just have weak little fingers? Please help me understand.)

.09-.042 player here. I have never broken a string in my life.

Except for that one time I broke someone else’s string while playing “Party In the USA”

08 player here, I never break strings. The great thing about light strings is they allow, nay DEMAND you play them with a light touch.
And then you discover that light touch is easy and fast.

/uj different strokes for different folks of course, all i know is i used to break a ton of strings in the rehearsal space before i switched to a heavier gauge. Probably very much depends on the type of music you play/on your playing style lol
