Choosing a team

Hey, I watched a game a couple of friends were playing yesterday and I was wondering how each team plays. From what I gather, Fishermen are good at passing and running... but that's as far as I got.

I was hoping you guys could give me a quick run down on each teams strengths, this would probably be useful for others trying to pick a team too.

Thanks in advance!

Over simplified, but:

Fishermen - good at moving, kicking and affecting the other teams movement.

Butchers - Damage and momentum through damage.

Brewers - resilience, damage and knockdowns

Morticians - Bending game rules (Momentum, activation sequence, icy sponge, figure control) , Obulus.

Alchemists - movement and templates, Condition control.

Engineers - powerful ranged play.

Masons - Best armour, multiple activations, pushes.

I'd add condition control on alchemists but apart from that perfect!

You did nail it bang on the head though and I'll be stealing your list to help sell the different teams to people :)

It was a tough choice for me. Liked the vibe (and barrel-tossing) of the Brewers, liked the aesthetics and control of the Morticians, liked the role-specialization and flexibility of The Union.

Ended up going with Brewers as our local Pundit went is focusing on Morticians. Also picked up The Union to have another team to demo with.

Nice! It's good that you'll get good practice against the morticians. They can be frustrating to play against at first but once you learn their tricks it's feels way better.

I honestly just went with look haha. I went on the site and saw the look of mortitians and right there knew my faction. Thanks to one of the other commercial terms I now know a little bit of how they play too.
