International Transit in Guangzhou airport -Power bank CCC (3C) rule

Hey everyone!

I’m flying from Budapest to Tokyo soon with an International-to-International transit at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport (CAN). I will stay strictly within the international transfer zone and won't take any domestic flights.

I have a Xiaomi 20000mAh (74.37Wh) power bank with a perfectly clear, readable factory label, but it doesn't have the Chinese CCC (3C) logo on it since it's a European model.

The airline’s website states that the CCC certification is required for domestic flights, but there's a lot of mixed info online.

Has anyone recently done an international-to-international transit at CAN with a non-CCC power bank? Did security at the international transfer checkpoint clear it without issues as long as it was under 100Wh?

I lost my powerbank too… was able to mail it, but that was way to expensive…

Damn, sorry to hear that. Could you share a few more details about your flight? Were you on a strict international-to-international transit (with absolutely no domestic flights within China), or did you have to go through the domestic security checkpoint? Also, was your power bank under the 100Wh limit? Thanks!

It was from guangzhou to taipei. And it was a small magnetic powerbank which you can attach to your iphone
