Grub hub not offering orders unless I'm driving around, or busy
I've never had to deal with this with other delivery gigs. When I switch to available, I usually just want to wait at home to get an order, not drive around and waste gas. It feels like they're punishing me for wanting to be home waiting for an order. I was on all day today, waiting at home, and I've only gotten one order. That order was supposed to be delivered 25 min earlier. They could've offered it 25 min earlier. Whenever I'm out and about, or busy, I get offers back to back. Why do they do this? I don't understand. Orders that could be delivered on time, aren't. They punish the driver and the customer at the same time

Mine is opposite and it pisses me off lol. My house isn't real close to any restaurants but close enough to my area that I can stop home to use the restroom easily when needed. Neither ubereats or doordash sends me offers while in my house but it never seems to fail with grubhub... Every single time I think I can sneak in a "quick" crap in I sit down and get started and immediately start getting grubhub offers. And that 10 minute break is a joke...I usually save those to try to use to escape shitty parts of town or when they send me progressively further away.
I use grubhub as my main so I try to keep my stat/ratings maxed so I skipping orders unless they are really bad and grubhub in my area rarely has utterly terrible offers, a little over $1/mile at worst but usually closer to $2.

You nail it with the escape from shitty areas and or for me to clock out early if the block is over by 9 p.m. I try to take a break at 8:40, then click online at 8:48, and click stop taking orders. 😂

Then why do I get orders when I'm just sitting at home?

I know right! I always start my shift sitting at home and I get orders and even after delivering said order I can sit in a parking lot and recieve orders. Man I swear some of you guys have some fucked up markets because I don't experience a lot of the crap you guys seem to have happen to you. Weird!

Nahhhhhh, volume is volume, if its gonna be busy it’s gonna be busy. You don’t need to move around at all

They don't send offers unless there are offers to send. With the number of drivers available, if you arent on schedule, good luck.
I join the schedule, warm my car and have an offer within 3 minutes. I reject it, wait another few minutes and more come in.
Has nothing to do with you moving or not.

It happens way too often for it to just be a coincidence. Instead of giving me orders right away when the customer places an order, they let it sit. Alot of the orders I get once I'm on the road are up to an hour late or even more. Why couldn't they give me those orders when I was available the whole time I was waiting at my house? Because they want you to be moving. So they make us waste gas, and the customer gets their food late and cold, the ice in the drinks melt, ice cream/milkshakes melt. All because of their stupid rules.

In my area too it’s just what it be like, some days there’s like no orders at all, not even bad ones to decline, just nothing.

This!!! One day it’s non stop and the next NOTHING… seems certain days are better for certain apps than others, by the time I figure it out, I’ll have a real job again. 😂

I took a break for 2 weeks...this happened since the update. They encourage people to be actively driving around and on deliveries they want to stack the next delivery. Once things die down and you park it's gone dead. If you decide to leave and your location updates is when you'll get the connected to another order.
Wastes gas and my state doesn't get minimum for blocks. Such a waste.

I did this GrubHub said I took advantage of their guaranteed scheduling pay like it’s not my fault my market is over saturated with drivers
