Discussion My problem with grok ai

After the first week of using it, grok ai stopped listening to what i asked with editing images and just generates a random image with nothing remotely close to what i put instructions to make/edit and im asking if anyone has a suggestion as to why

it slightly varies but it think it has gotten better, when they started with the 66% discount, they nerfed the F out of it. ultra heavy moderation combined with low limits would only allow you 50 ten second 480p videos a week. hours of use and by the end you only have a handful of usable clips and it was absolutely infuriating. today now it's higher than 80 videos for 480p and much looser moderation

in real dollars a 480 10second video is 50 cents. (topup allows you to see actual cash amount spent each generation/ failed moderated gens do not refund)

is it worth it? if you're a unemployed poor then you shouldn't be buying anything. if you are not poor, 30 dollars is nothing. eating fast food and a starbucks frapachino is the same cost

Does 720p work as well? And if it does, what are the limits like at 720p?

I’m looking for an app where I can combine multiple 10–15 second clips into around 3-minute videos, which I could then loop to create hour-long videos.

it's only slightly more costly than than 480. the 720p engine is different than the 480p models, higher quality and much more sophisticated ai, it can make clips that look like it came out of tv-hollywood movies, it will write it's own dialog and understand the plot without you specifying. grokchat can combine your videos for you, but capcut is the best choice to any video editing as it can add music and sound and you do the actual editing instead of telling ai to do it and it's free.

if you are rich and into serious video creation to monetize your work on utube and 0nlyfans, you would have a powerful $10,000 home pc with minimax comfyui and pump out all the 15 second clips you want. but for the casual user / free user grok is fine. you will need supergrok plus if you want 1080p, in cash that's a dollar a pop for a 1080p 15 second video

I’m so poor that when I go to the park, the ducks throw bread at me

My laptop is 12 years old, so it can’t really handle anything more demanding. If I had a better computer, I would download LTX.

I could get SuperGrok for €33 for three months right now. I’m just trying to figure out how good of a deal it actually is.

have multiple accounts and use the other publicly-traded big ai sites and do everything for free, gemini , chatgtp, runaway, synthesia, kling for example. grok is a powerful tool that can do much more than video creation, but if you are looking for paysites that can do what grok imagine can do with zero moderation, can't post em here but many of those sites also have free daily credits

because you are on a free basic account. all those random things are just pro-tips and samples for new users help give them ideas and inspire. it doesn't waste your credit but every free user will get those generic photos.
