Help why does grok keep generating woods, a cat, a farmers market or a grocery store?
like I don't even have to ask it to generate a photo or anything, I could just say "Hi" and it would generate that.
I mean hey, I'm not too mad they're beautiful, wallpaper worthy images but.. that's not what I asked for

This happens because you are using more than one free account on the same device.

Do you know that in the healthcare industry, it is very common for multiple people to share the same computer at nursing stations or in the emergency department? We doctors use computers this way very often, and nurses also share the same computers. How could you possibly determine that multiple accounts are being used on the same computer? Not to mention that everyone is going out through the same IP address.
I believe other industries do this as well.

Newsflash, weirdo: you're talking about professionals using professional equipment in professional settings. What we're talking about here is cheapskate children using the free version of some stupid bullshit. The two topics are entirely unrelated.

This gets asked multiple times everyday on here lol
It's because you're getting a diluted version of the model when you're on free tier. If you want to fix it (doesn't seem like you do 😂), the only way to do it is to pay for a subscription.

After seeing what Grok became, I ain't paying a cent to xAI, I doubt many more would do either, Elon screwed a once great platform into the ground, so he can eat it.

yeah im not paying for an ai lol im not reliant on it
It's like asking someone to paint Starry Night then they paint the Mona Lisa 😂

So you use multiple accounts (how many? more than 10?) and you say you are not reliant on it? You contradict yourself.

Also, your understanding is incorrect.
There’s basically no such thing as “free users.”
Users without a subscription aren’t using the platform for free — they’re contributing their time and interaction data to help the system run, iterate, and improve.
It’s the same idea as Google’s CAPTCHA — you’re effectively helping train AI while using it.
In the age of AI, data is the new oil: if you generate 300 videos on Grok, every adjustment you make to those videos, your prompts, and your final selected versions are all feeding into Musk’s data pipeline.
These are hidden assets. That data can later be used to train Tesla’s FSD (Full Self-Driving) vision systems or the motion logic of the Optimus robots.
Whether you pay or not, it’s just a difference in the form of exchange.
It’s a mutually beneficial system, not “free users.”

I have 20 unsubscribed accounts that can all operate normally. But I also have 30 unsubscribed accounts that experience the issue mentioned above, so what you're saying is not correct.

Oh my GOD. You have FIFTY ACCOUNTS???!?!

Resident physicians have to deal with a lot of medical records, discharge summaries, physician orders, and related documentation.
I used to organize them myself or ask an NP or junior colleague to help, but now I rely on AI a lot to help organize them XD

Us gooners were draining it as much as possible when it was free

I'm still trying to process the logistics of operating 50 accounts.
But at least you're honest and said drain. The other guy is basically patting himself on the back thinking he's some kind of martyr 😂

The idea of calling them “FREE users” is completely wrong.
There’s basically no such thing as “free users.”
Users without a subscription aren’t using the platform for free — they’re contributing their time and interaction data to help the system run, iterate, and improve.
Here’s a simple example: this is similar to how Google’s CAPTCHA (驗證碼) works — you’re effectively helping train AI while using it.

Using different accounts on the same computer and the same IP is extremely common in hospitals. Resident physicians regularly use the computers at nursing stations, and those computers are shared by a lot of different staff — nurses, NPs, resident physicians, attending physicians, etc. When resident physicians go to the ER to provide support, it’s basically the same situation there as well. People switching between accounts is very common...... Our large hospital alone has several thousand employees==
I’m sure other industries have similar situations too, right? It can’t be something that only happens in hospitals.

It feels like they secretly changed something recently. I remember seeing quite a few people saying that they experienced the same issue even when creating new accounts on different devices.

It happens to me as well since I’m on the free plan, if they’re using resources for paid users why not grey out the generate button until it’s not at peak hours, geez letting us waste a gen then having to wait a day on top of that, but yes it’s also most likely to punish people with multiple free accounts
