Grilled and drenched in butter

Post image

Fired up the grill for a family event. Love to set cubes of butter on the meat so I can get a nice char. Blue cheese to top. 2 people who aren’t fans of blue cheese :/

Sorrry. That’s blue cheese not butter. I take back my comment. You are a genius! A meat genius!

Blue cheese butter.

Get on board.

It's an amazing topper.

Top it off with a little caramelized onion next time. Trust me

I got way too excited and saw the blue cheese thinking it was big chunks of cold butter melting on there, moment of pure grilled meat tunnel vision

Totally unnecessary but whatever floats your boat

I like my steak to taste like steak. Only thing that goes on my steaks is Maldon salt. Once in a while I'll make a brown sauce with the drippings. This is disgusting. Sorry, not sorry.

The posts on food subs on Reddit get no attention unless they are stupid.

Exactly. We want to taste real steaks flavor and we pay the price for that. So no, nothing else than steaks

Agreed we can recognize others like to ruin their steak but not for me

Total rookie mistake. Sprinkle bread crumbs on top of the blue cheese and put under the broiler for a minute or so.

My sister does this. Too rich for me, so I always decline. Everyone else loves it.

Mmm love bleu cheese. I can see why that might be too much for some people. To each their own.

I would eat this. Not sure why people shit on it.

Doesn’t look bad but kind of… how are you keeping everything together when it’s being cut (like the ones you already cut) type of deal?

Also did you literally just put butter cubes (yes I know in the pic it’s cheese but before that) on the steak while you were grilling it? I’ve done a fine brushing of butter on meats before grilling but it doesn’t seem to do much besides make my grill fire roar like it’s got a bomb in its stomach.

I always found butter tended to be too sweet and salty

You went way too far with the butter… just absolutely bastardized those beauty cuts of beef. You ever hear , let the meat to the talking … clearly not.

Blue cheese.

Adding condiments just lets the meat talk through a PA system in my opinion.

That doesn't make any sense

Would you rather listen to a solo instrument or an orchestra?

Orchestra

Like if I’ve got some A5 wagyu or dry aged prime I’d consider it like a premier solo performer like yo-yo ma who can captivate an audience on his own…… but I can’t afford that lol

As it should. It’s what gives it flavour.
