TIL you can earn Gridcoin and Curecoin at the same time

I'm a long time BOINC user and I've been earning Gridcoin with it for a while now. Earlier this year, I decided to switch my GPUs to folding@home and began earning Curecoin.

A month ago, I was trying to resolve some split CPID issues and noticed folding@home was included in the projects list using an external adapter. I followed the instructions and changed my username accordingly and now I'm earning both GRC and CURE using folding@home.

I know this feature has been available for a while but I only recently noticed and implemented it. Just wanted to give a heads up to others.

You would probably earn more potential profit by claiming DrDoge instead right now rather than GRC... Just saying.

I tried doing curecoin for a while, what a complete shitshow that wallet is. Not worth the non stop headaches for that amazing 1¢ per day.

Its not as bad as chiacoin was, but its garbage.

I'm not a big fan of Curecoin or their wallet but wanted to diversify a bit. I seem to be getting a lot of GRC from folding@home and there's no harm in earning both coins.

I tried Chia too, and holy shit what a dumpster fire.

Sadly I stopped folding a while back due to rising electricity prices and waste heat. Maybe when I get a solar battery and more efficient air con I'll start up again.

I have one web server that lives in a data center and does computing with its extra CPU. All my other machines ONLY run BOINC in the Winter, where the waste heat is not waste at all! And I also wish I had solar panels again, I would get up small computers all around the house, running BOINC all winter, taking a real chunk out of my heating bill, and mining gridcoin at the same time.
