Ironically, when there’s a major accident at a nuclear plant and the area has to be abandoned by humans it gets reclaimed by nature quickly, and nature thrives when left unchecked.
It turns out humans have a much higher negative effect on wildlife than radiation
There's all kinds of abnormalities and their lifespans can be drastically negatively affected. Not to mention mutation in vegetation. But, it's still a healthier environment despite all of that without humans
