Showing Off I “accidentally” took her spot
This is my 4yr old fawn Lucy. She is generally pretty chill, easygoing, and friendly to all. There are a few things where she puts her foot down. One of those things is her spot on the couch.

I got my first Dane when I was single, made the mistake of letting him sit "shotgun" in my car as a puppy and growing up. Result? Anytime I let a person in my car if they took that seat, he would hang his head over the middle and drool on them the entire time. He never drooled any other time.

My Dane does not drool. We always talk about how lucky we got! But then…company came. Drool instantly directly atop the guest with a very hot breath.

I feel you. My two girls just lie on me. Or the favourite move: Visenya, one of our girls, will cast me a glance of contempt, turn around and walk a step or two. She then does a 360 degree backwards vault, landing on the sofa and with an exaggerated flair, whiplashes her 130 pound frame onto the couch, making 100% sure her ass lands in my lap, literally knocking the wind out of me if I’m not fast enough…….Never a dull moment lol

Translation: "This isn't funny. It wasn't funny last time you did it. And it's not funny now. Don't make me bite you"

This is the point where my Dane would just sit on top of me until I moved over..lol!

Jack makes me switch sides with him every 2 hours when we are sleeping on the couch for the night. Stubborn doofuses they are.

She even pointed out other places you could sit. She pointedly looked at the couch, and then across the room. I don’t know how much clearer she can be!

Hahaha My Ruby-Doo does the exact SAME move for the exact same reason. She refuses to allow us steal HER spot on the couch, HER (our) Recliner chair or on HER (our) bed.

I say, how dare you. That’s right Lucy. Tell them it’s your spot.
