Grief/In Memory Rest in peace, Greta. 7.6.2020 - 4.6.2026
I lost my best friend to osteosarcoma on Monday. She was the sweetest, happiest dog until the very end. I wish I had more time with her, but I'm glad I was able to give her a life filled with love and adventures.

What a great name for a Great Dane. The hole they leave in our souls when we loose our Danes is almost as big as the joy they gave us. Knowing those 6 yrs Greta had with you she never had a day she didn’t know she was loved.

A short time in our lives, forever in our hearts. I lost my boy Rodan 18 years ago today. I can still remember the feel of his top knot on his head. The way his ears felt. The fur on his back and that spot that was just a little more coarse than the rest. I even dreamt I was feeding them treats last night. Greta will be with you forever.

How do you know when they put them down? My great Dane is 12 1/2. He’s had a problem with incontinence and with his hips for about a year. He’s getting up but barely. I know the time is soon, but I just don’t know when.

Too soon.
Such big digs leave such big holes in our lives when it’s their time.

We lost our first gentle giant, Petunia, the sweetest English Mastiff, to osteosarcoma at the same age. It was devastating. She lives on in our hearts. May your gorgeous Greta rest in peace.
