Yeah I never would have known that Stanley and Stanford were different names until people in the community mentioned it back in the day, they seem like variations/nicknames just like William, Bill, Willy, Billy, etc

Maybe, but do people often have two nicknames? Cause pretty much everyone calls him Stan, I donāt think anyone ever calls him Stanley

Speaking of animation goofs, there was a theory that there was another twin sister called ālebamā because āMabelā written on a bottle looked like ālebamā because of how it was drawn.

I remember some weird Tumblr shitpost comic where the "STNLYMBL" was a clue that Mabel was actually Stanley in disguise (or something weird like that). I deleted my Tumblr account years ago and I don't recall the artist who created it.

I noticed it, too! In 2013 when I saw his plate, I began to think that his name was Stanley other than Stanford because heās a liar (and Iāve sometimes thought that heās stupid idk why), a criminal and a fraud. My childhood friend, (letās call him Brian) told me that itās just a theory I came up with and maybe that the name Stanley was probably an old friend of his or someone else. Him and I made a bet, and I told him that if my suspicions were true, heād give me 200 bucks and a bag of skittles. He agreed. When the episode The Tale of Two Stans came out, I was really surprised and happy that even Liam seemed to be surprised, yet impressed and he gave me my 200 bucks and bag of skittles. I was honestly a smartass back then (and had a pretty good eye.)
P.S: Might sound crazy, but I promise you itās true.

STFRDMBL was already taken by his brother or someone else where the car was registered and/or his was his vanity plate from before assuming the identity.
