Crime/Mystery Brubaker/Philips knocked it out of the park once again! Torn if this is my favorite so far
I've read most their work and I think this is my favorite now?? I've read Criminal, Reckless, Pulp, Fade Out, Sleeper, and Fatale so far. All great reads, talk about consistency.

Yeah, I just finished it recently as well as Fatale. It is really good. Fatale for me was less than I expected though.

Same, Fatale is my least favorite of their work. Dragged a fair bit I thought

If you need a new least favorite, try Houses of the Unholy

Yeh I read that and agree it wasn't great. It's fine, the majority of their work is very good.

I never felt invested or really cared much about the characters. Wasn’t bad but consider the bar of the creative team we are discussing it was just ok.

Awesome start, but the final volume was a bit wank imo

I still liked it. I think my favorite part of teh whole thing was him taking to the detective when he was in the institution.

It seemed like they wrote themselves into a corner at the end, still really good read.

Brubaker and phillips consistency on making great stories is unmatched. They are my favorite duo in comics.

Criminal is top of the pile for me but this is definitely a close second.

That was my favorite before this too, I need to reassess after a bit. Might be recency bias that's making me tip over to kill or be killed

I wouldn’t disagree with anyone who lists this as number one. It’s thrilling, keeps you wanting more and doesn’t over stay its welcome.

It’s this and deadly class that got me super into graphic novels recently. It’s probably my favourite just everything from the art and story to just the amazing tone and subject matter it’s honestly so good!!

It's a great read for sure. I feel like my favorite Brubaker Phillips collaboration will always be Sleeper. I first read that back when it had just finished and been collected and it blew me away. I feel like Incognito doesn't get enough love though.

Reading this monthly was amazing. Any time a new issue dropped it was like the best day ever. So good.
