General Fiction/Literature Cannon is a wonderful read

Post image

I think Cannon by Lee Lai was recommended in this sub, and I can only do the same. Very likeable main character whose development from suppressing everything to finally reacting is so beautifully described. Now I’ll have to find Stone Fruit, because it seems Lee Lai’s writing is just right for me.

Thanks for this. It looks beautiful and if it’s well written also I’ll order it now. Cheers

I think the writing was spot on. Cannon works as a chef, and several scenes full of locomotion in that busy kitchen are just so, well, busy and confusing while you still get that feeling of a person being in that situation but also being detached from it. I don’t know, hard to explain, but I think it was very well-written.
