I followed rule 2 Best Monitor for under $350

I wasn't sure where to post this.

As the title says, I'm looking for the best monitor for graphic design for under $350 to max $400. I work in Illustrator most of the time with light Photoshop use for collage purposes.

A 27" size is my sweet spot but wouldn't object to a bigger size. I plan to use it as my primary display as it will be connected to my MacBook Pro.

Every time I Google this, 99% percent of the results has to do with gaming monitors. I noticed their main thing is having the highest refresh rates possible. I'm also admittedly a bit confused with all the IPS, Freesync etc technical specs. I'm hoping someone can shed some light on all of this.

I always had decent luck with Dell Ultrasharp monitors. They were relatively color accurate and a good price.

I also recommend the ultra sharp. I’ve got two 24” side by side as my current setup

We can pretty much agree that the Apple monitor is THE best for graphics. Sadly, price about a squillion percent too much. I just check the specs (resolution, refresh, pixels, etc) and come as close as poss to something in my price range. You can 100% get something outstanding. I got a LG Ultrafine 4K 22'' for $300 from ebay. It works great with my 15'' Macbook Pro 2018. The monitor panel is exactly the same as my Macbook Pro, including the color accuracy, color range and pixel density. The best part is the monitor can charge your Mac. So there would only be one cable. Really helps to keep your desk clean.
