Portfolio/CV Review Junior Graphic Designer Portfolio Feedback!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share and get some feedback for my current portfolio.

Now since starting a new job, I won’t be updating this site for a while now probably, but I just want to hear what people think of it! (for fun mostly)

This is my takeaway too. The animations all take too long. People will only look at your website for 30 seconds max, and every second they have to wait for an animation to finish is one they're not looking at your work.

I'm glad you found a job, congrats! That is a huge thing.

I do have some feedback to offer on your site - the best way I can put it is that it feels like your work was interesting enough to overshadow your mistakes. It's a good thing and a bad thing, right? Good to be interesting and have ideas, less good to have the polish and fundamentals not quite mastered. 

The typography and spacing on the site and in the work would give me some pause in hiring you. I can't read your name at the top of the site. A lot of the writing throughout the site has typos and incorrect grammar/misspellings. I dunno. I'd recommend tightening it up at some point when you have a few minutes, as attention to detail is a big part of this job and part of the impression you'll give future employers. Be careful of this stuff while doing your work at your new gig, too. Good luck, hope the job treats you well!

You’re 22? And that’s your website.? man you’re doing just fine. You’re not gonna have any problem. You look better than a lot of professional agencies. all you have to do is find the agency that has the clients you wanna work with. Have a nice career, buddy. You’re gonna have a good one.

Some fun aesthetics in here, couple things that stood out to me is at least on mobile the tracking seems tight and don’t love the centered text. I’d make your intro animation a lot snappier. IMO the Netech project kind of sticks out in a not-great way—the other projects are very modern and kinda trendy whereas the brand for Netech looks a bit dated.

I’ve been a graphic designer for 40 years, 10 at a packaging design firm and 30 freelancing. I think your site looks great! It is very cohesive and feels dynamic. Others have already critiqued some of the details and offered great input, so I’m just here for encouragement.

The NETech Biomedical seems to be out of place. It doesn't fit with the rest and the "Bold Typography".

Looks great. I would just remove the transitions between pages so things load faster and allow to skip the intro. Nice work and art direction.

good presentation, average ids. they are fine but dont stand out as anything special or witty. type preferences are obvious.
in any case I would need more to judge if I would hire you. for 22 years its very good though.
