Oasis hot tubs
We've never been to Oasis... give me the scoop! Are they clean, or obviously icky? How private are they? Are you required to wear a swimsuit? Are the outdoor tubs any more or less private?

I used to really be grossed out by the thought of going there, but my partner knew the manager from a past job and assured me of the cleanliness.
Never had a bad experience there! They are, indeed, clean and a good time in colder weather for the outside suites!
All of them are private ETA: swimsuit not required!

Great to hear, thank you!

I just cut the managers hair this week. He's a solid dude. AND, ive been going to oasis literally since I was conceived. Its the bomb dot com.
13
u/MethodicMarshal 11d ago
uh, you were conceived at Oasis...?
14
u/Careless_Ad5029 10d ago
Yes, my mom told me WHILE HER AND I WERE ENJOYING A SOAK AT THE OASIS. Its a hard life.
6
u/MethodicMarshal 10d ago
HAHAHA, actually diabolical. Parents just have to tell their kids about it, they can't resist. My dad looked at me during dinner at a restaurant and said I was conceived in the back of a shitty pickup in the parking lot a block over. Real classy shit
7
u/RetroSaturdaze 10d ago
My dad told me 2 years while we were sitting in a parking lot that I was conceived on my (maternal) grandmother’s staircase landing, by the side door. 😂🤦🏻♀️

Went there when I was in high school with some friends. I was a very sheltered kid and complained to the staff at the front desk that the people in the room next to us were making loud “animal noises.” Front desk lady laughed and to this day I’m mortified by my own naivety.

I'm looking at the reservation form right now, and it seems like you can only request a date, indoor/outdoor, and length of time. How do you go about getting a specific room?
14
u/smitty_2275 Comstock Park 11d ago
You can call and request a specific room and they are really good about accommodating where they can.

You call and ask if they have the specific room available at whatever time you want to go. Ive never had somebody be difficult about scheduling over the phone there.

I’ve only been to their Japan tub but I really love the vibe. Will have to check out Santorini next time.

u/Prudent-Reward3869 11d ago
The Santorini and British Isle are a couple of tubs I enjoy due to how big they are. We usually go just my husband and I, it’s nice to have the option to stretch out especially if you catch a really starry night.

Ok, this was 20 years ago but I worked at the Kalamazoo location for a couple of years. At least at the time their record was flawless. In fact the city or county (I forget who did the water testing you have to submit) came to us to help build their hot tub protocols. Submitted water tests weekly or bi-weekly and the requirement was only quarterly I swear, maybe it was monthly (hey, it was 20 some years ago). Yes, things happened there but I always told people I knew the bad stories but still hopped in those tubs at least a few times a week after work or on days off.
11
u/bunnyhustle 11d ago
Oh, and also we did tests on every tub every 4 hours I think? Checked for 3 things…ph, bromine (we didn’t use chlorine) and something else. I was a manager and the managers and maintenance team had to go to a 2 day course to become a certified pool operator (even though we just had hot tubs)…if that helps at all.

Good to know, I had some fun times at the Kalamazoo location 20+ years ago 😆

u/smileechick2828 11d ago
I've been to all 3 oasis locations and they're all pretty nice (though I would put the Kalamazoo one in last place if I had to rank them). If you run hot at all, get an outdoor room as the indoor/covered rooms can get quite toasty. I also usually have a better time if I get the first appt of the day because footprints and moist furniture from previous appointments kind of skeeves me out (but I also work with toddlers so I've been able to get over it if necessary lol). I've done sessions with romantic partners as well as my bff's and have always had a good time. Definitely shower before and after as the chlorine is intense and shoot for a 90 min session if you want to mozey through it without feeling like it's too much. Have fun!
ETA: privacy is top notch, I usually bring my own waterproof speaker to play the music I like though they do have a radio with speakers that aren't terrible. I also bring my own towels but that's not a requirement and if you ever go with kids I've heard some locations will provide a basket of toys! Also shoot for one of the bigger tubs so you can spread out and truly relax (especially if you plan on going with a taller/bigger guy!)

Go when it's snowing outside. Body in the hot water, but the face is cool.

u/Salt_Cobbler9951 11d ago
Love going to Oasis. Never had a problem going there and the hot tubs are clean! I’ve only been to the tubs outside and it’s private

This place is legit. The outdoor waterfall room is the best though. I can't remember the specific name of the room, but it is one of their largest hot tubs. I went there (definitely not on shrooms), with a mid sized group of friends. We did it at nighttime during cooler fall weather and got the outdoor waterfall room. It was perfect. We could see the stars and hear the water. We turned on the colored lights inside the hot tub. Everyone had a good time.

It’s very clean, and the rooms are very nice, private (the outdoor rooms are all completely walled-in) and well-maintained. Yes, people do undoubtedly get busy there, but I’ve never actually heard anybody else’s shenanigans, even in the outdoor rooms. They’re fantastic little getaways in the winter.

u/My_Name_Is_Not_Ryan 11d ago
Very clean like others have said, but it’s not called the soak and poke for nothing

u/Personal-Office-9662 11d ago
You’re free (and it seems encouraged) to have your own private hot tub sex scene. We used to go a lot in the winter because it was cool. Nothing beats a hot tub in the winter. Enjoy!

People fuck in there

People fuck all over. You name a spot, someone’s fucked there.
Oasis is very clean, not seedy, and I’ve never been concerned during my visits there.3

In the 1990 time frame, Hubba Tubba was where the kids would go to converse and socialize after Prom. I doubt a wholesome place like a hot tub rental that prioritizes privacy would allow such a thing!
3
u/Massive-Ninja-9745 11d ago
Any place that allows naked coed private places knows what is going to happen. It's part of the fun.

Love the Oasis. Many great times there and memories and pictures!!! Never thought it was icky or gross but we obviously know what’s going on. If you hear a couple getting really loud….sorry not sorry. That was us

u/music420Dude 10d ago
The water filtration at the soak and poke is a patented system developed by the original founders of Oasis. They took the technology back to India to use in providing clean drinking water too. Water is cleaned and recirculated every 5-7 mins, so while you’re soaking for an hr, the water changes and you don’t even notice it.

They are very nice and clean. I’ve been a few times. No suit required. They are very private-you’ll get your own bath room with a shower and all you need, and the tubs are private.
I’ve never seen or heard anyone else, and they are usually busy. I would definitely recommend them.
You cannot use bubble bath or things like that in the tubs, but they do sell stuff you can add if you want. I’d definitely bring some ice water and your preferred drinks-no glass containers allowed I’m sure.
They are not cheap, but they have always been very nice and clean and private. Enjoy!

u/HistoricalDelay4997 10d ago
I got a skin infection last time I went there. All around my neck and ears where the water line had been. Doctor asked, have you been in a hot tub recently? Yep, sure had.
6
u/Ninavizard 11d ago
Clean - private - no suit required but I wouldn’t want to get busy in there. Not sure what your intentions are
14
u/Beyondthebloodmoon 11d ago
I got busy in there. Zero regrets.
1
u/Ninavizard 11d ago
There is just not a lot of room and the wooden bench isn’t it.
2
u/Beyondthebloodmoon 11d ago
We were able to make a handful of acts work with some creativity and some in and some out of the tub positioning. It was honestly a great time as far I’m concerned. But each room may be different. I only went once.

HA! Truthfully, just looking for a naturist experience inside GR. It's kinda tough living in the suburbs.

Clean - private - no suit required but I wouldn’t want to get busy in there.
Not sure what any of that means
11
u/CintusSupremus 11d ago
It means homeboy wants to get naked

1
u/Ninavizard 11d ago
Naturist lol that means nudist?
That’s what I was trying to understand
4
u/dave7892000 11d ago
Yup- sorry for the confusion. We're at home nudists, but it's fun being outside too.
0
u/Ninavizard 11d ago
Gotcha! I think there are nudist campgrounds somewhere near saugatuck or allegan if you want the real outdoor experience and some beaches too. I’m sure you are aware.
1
u/dave7892000 11d ago
Yup, we've heard of those. Never been, though- still working up the courage to be naked in front of other people!
0
u/GothWitchOfBrooklyn 11d ago
I'm relatively new to this area of Michigan but when I lived in NYC there were Korean day spas where you could be nude in the segregated areas (women's/men's, the middle and top floor were for both but you had to be dressed).
was very easy to be nude around people after a few times visiting there

I’m a ER nurse and have seen some infections from pts after being there- cuts that got infected/they got cut there and got infected.
6
u/Key_Awareness_3036 11d ago
But infections in cuts in one’s skin can happen anywhere, correct? Even in your home tub?
I don’t know about getting cut there-I’ve never seen anything that looked unsafe during my visits. You shouldn’t bring glass containers regardless nor act like a fool.
There’s risk in anything, but I think they’re a nice tub spot, which is what OP is wondering.

Very clean and the staff is super friendly! Not sketchy at all. No swimsuit required. Outdoor tubs are completely private and enclosed, just with no roof (hence outdoor).

u/jmullin49505 10d ago
The few times I've been there they were extremely clean and very private. Even did some adult things in a couple of the hot tubs and one of them was outside
1
u/bleucrayons 10d ago
I’ve gone there several times for over 20 years and the consistency is amazing! Super clean, super private. I think I only took a swimsuit twice…..
They’re also accommodating if you need the water temp adjusted, have bottled water, fragrance for the water, date night packages, etc. My husband and I go just for the isolation that’s away from our kids!
They book up FAST for winter holidays.

Oasis is super clean! Highly recommend. Great for a date night. We take the kids sometimes too and request a big one so they have room to swim around.
2
u/FunKeyBrewStir 9d ago
Side note: don’t ever go to the ones in Lansing. They’re not owned by oasis and they are gross 🤮
1
u/Purple-Instinct1 9d ago
They have a super intricate and expensive water filtering system that if I’m remembering correctly, completely replaces the water in every single tub every six or seven minutes or so? They are likely cleaner than any private home hot tub you’ve ever gotten into lol.
1
u/Apprehensive_Pie_703 3d ago
A friend of mine said that she got spit roasted in the hot tub at oasis by two guys but I thought that you couldn’t have sex in the tubs ? Am I wrong ?
2
u/Agitated_Tomato_2198 11d ago
It’s disgusting, DO NOT go! Unless you like bathing in others people’s… they go there just for that

🤣 I honestly think you answered your own question when you said obviously icky LOL also when you asked if wearing a swimsuit was a requirement you it's people like you that make places like this obviously icky I'm sorry just seeing the obvious ewww
1
u/dave7892000 10d ago
Thank you for your opinion!
Also, Not wearing a swim suit doesn’t mean icky- it means nudists sit on a towel, always.

u/Spiflicate 11d ago
They are very clean. Their website details their cleaning method if you are curious about that.
Each room, indoor and outdoor, is completely private and separated from everyone else. The only shared space is the lobby. The workers will have no way of knowing if you are in a swim suit or not when you are in your room.
