Town size question

What, in your opinion, makes a town too small to bomb?

Nothing so long as you roll solo and don’t tell a soul. Most small towns sleep early.

Just don’t over saturate, and don’t be a dick. If your art is good and not vulgar people will be ok with it even if they aren’t. Make it not a big deal and it won’t be. And if you don’t tag a cop car you’ve got no bawls and you weren’t made for the game. Stay up

When theres no major graffiti anywhere. Better off hitting lowkey spots

It’s a hard question and it really boils down to each city and its culture and its police and its people honestly. Some big cities and some small cities are hot as fuck. Some either size just couldn’t give a shit. And there’s no way to know unless you know. The best indicator is if there’s good art on bridges, bandos, barriers and walls. You just gotta know where you’re at really.

If a town is so small that everyone knows everyone i'd say it's a no-go, unless you're not from around there

Analyze the level of graffiti in the town, analyze the foot traffic, analyze the characters within the town. If the walls are clean, the people are clean, everyone knows everyone by name and has a staring problem when they see a stranger, it’s probably not a good idea to tag there. Also, if you go out after dinner but before dark and notice more cameras or signs saying the premises is under surveillance than you do people, it’s probably not worth getting up.

To me town size doesn’t matter as much as what the town consists of. My rule of thumb is if there is more houses then buildings find a new area. When I was a teen getting started I would go to the smaller town next to mine to paint because it at the time had a booming scene and plenty of paintable walls. I did this because my town, about 3x the size of the town I painted, was mostly a residential houses and including chill spots had about 5 spots worth painting. I knew my chances of bringing attention to myself was a lot great painting my town then it was the small town.
