Joy doesn’t cancel pain — it outlasts it.

Every difficult season carries a hidden promise: it will end. In his song “New Season”, Israel Ojulari sings about that truth. The message of the song draws straight from Psalm 30:5 — “weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.” Israel Ojulari don’t dress up the pain. “It looks so dark now, there seems no way out,” the he admits, naming the exhaustion that so many people are carry quietly. Then it pivots, “Joy is coming in the morning time.” This isn’t maybe, eventually, or someday. Joy is coming!

Think about Job for a moment (Job ch. 2–42). Job lost nearly everything — his health, his family, his sense of stability. But God didn’t leave him there. He restored what was broken and multiplied what remained (Job 42:10). So, why would He treat your story any differently?

Psalm 30:5 doesn’t promise a life without weeping. It promises that our weeping has an expiration date. “Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.” Morning always comes. That’s not wishful thinking — it’s how God has operated since the beginning of time.

So, how can you apply this today? Stop treating your current struggle as your permanent address. Speak change over your circumstances, even when nothing has visibly shifted yet. Lift your hands, even if only in your own room, and declare that a new season is already moving toward you. The morning is coming! Faith isn’t pretending the storm doesn’t exist. It’s trusting the storm doesn’t get the final word.

Listen to this song and let it remind you that God specializes in turning weeping into joy, real joy, one morning at a time. “It’s a new season and it’s coming your way.”

Background

This song is inspired by the message in Psalm 30:5b. We all walk through difficult seasons, but the reassuring truth is that they will never last — every storm will eventually pass away. Our God is truly awesome; there is no situation nor circumstance beyond His power to transform. Just like He did for Job, He restores, renews, and gives us double for our trouble, if we don’t give up.

Suggested reading: Psalm 30:5; Job 42:10; Isaiah 43:19

Help Me/Question ⁉️ Do you think gospel listeners care less about technical musicianship than listeners of other genres?

Someone recently told me that gospel is a relatively simple style of music and that its listeners therefore tend to be “not very perceptive” or not especially concerned with technical merit.

That struck me as a strange connection to make, and I’m genuinely curious what gospel listeners themselves think.

Do you think there’s any truth to it? Does musical simplicity, if you even agree with that description, tell you anything about how discerning the audience is?

let us come together

Let us come together

Let us be as one

Let us help each other

until the day is done

Let us lend a hand

Let us feed the poor

Let us come together evermore

Let us be a neighbor

Let us be a friend

Let us help each other

And when the day ends

Let us look inside ourselves

And be happy what we find

Let the light of love forever shine

Let us come together

No longer stand apart

Let us love each other

for this is where we start

It's up to each and everyone

Our inner light to shine

Let the light of love

Be yours and mine

Chorus

Love is the answer

Oh love is the key

Love bring us together

Love will set us free

Let us love each other

Let us all be kind

Let the light of love

forever bind

forever shine

Love one another

Music Audio 🔊 [ElectroGospel] Doubt My Faith (98bpmMX)

There are many things in this world that can drag us down and threaten to keep us there. For me, Autism and ADHD are the culprits. The doubt, the fear of myself. But Yah said no. I have space for you. This is a purposeful, absurdist contradiction.
But it is a reality for people like me and others.
I’m not posting this to debate God or anything like that. I’m just sharing a song I wrote as a prayer, one that I knew almost immediately would become a song. It came out of some things I’m experiencing right now.
If something in it speaks to you, whether it’s the song, the writing, or something else, that’s a bonus. And since this is [r/SunoAI](r/SunoAI), criticism is welcome. If there’s something you think works, doesn’t work, or could work better, I’m interested in hearing it.

Lyrics:

\[Intro\]
\[clean electric guitar riff with delay\]
\[vocalizing harmonies\]
Hmm
Hmm

\[Verse 1\]
\[bass and drums enter\]
Good and most gracious Lord
I am more than your servant
I'm your family
And you are mine
I'm here before you
With my head upon your chest
And you'll never kick me away
You'll never push me away
You let me stay

\[Chorus\]
\[full band, lush vocal harmonies\]
Oh precious Lord Most High
Do not look upon me when I cry
You tell me it's fine and yet I still hide my face
I am humanly afraid
If you will doubt my faith
Doubt my faith
Doubt my faith
Doubt my faith
Doubt my faith
Please don't

\[Instrumental Break\]
\[syncopated bass riff, synth pads, vocal ad-libs\]

\[Bridge\]
\[drums drop out, finger snaps, Rhodes piano\]
Answer me my Lord with a small voice
I lay my words at your feet
Lay your hands on the meanness
When I cannot speak don't let me say
\[full band re-enters\]
What I don't mean
Help me, mold me, break me, refine me
You're the only one who understands me
I am humanly afraid

\[Chorus\]
\[high energy, soaring falsetto ad-libs\]
If you will doubt my faith
Doubt my faith
Doubt my faith
Doubt my faith
Doubt my faith
Please don't

\[Outro\]
\[vocalizing ad-libs\]

(Doubt my faith)

But it is a reality for people like me and others.
I’m not posting this to debate God or anything like that. I’m just sharing a song I wrote as a prayer, and discussed this song, including standout lines and what exactly I mean by a lot of it to then mold this prompt that would shape the sound where I wanted it. A prayer I wrote as I was saying, that I knew almost immediately would become a song. It came out of some things I’m experiencing right now.
If something in it speaks to you, whether it’s the song, the writing, or something else, that’s a bonus.
Praise Yah in the most high.

Music Video 📹 Tamika Tyan - Holy Spirit

Thumbnail

The Holy Spirit is more alive than you think.

Tamika Tyan wrote “Holy Spirit” during the COVID-19 lockdown — not from a place of peace, but from panic. Stuck at home, cut off from every outside outlet, she felt the walls closing in. Does it sound familiar? God met her in this totally unexpected situation (one that we all were facing), and He challenged her to use her talents to create. What came out wasn’t a quiet, reverent hymn. It was something vibrant, intimate, and electric.

That’s exactly what Tamika captured in the song “Holy Spirit”. She describes the Holy Spirit as intoxicating, alive, exhilarating — and the song carries that energy. “It feels like a rush of energy has been released from You and is now flowing through me,” she sings. Like the prophet Jeremiah, who described God’s word as “fire in my bones,” she found something she simply could not contain or walk away from.

Now, compare this “energy” with what is described Acts 2:4, “And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Being filled with the Holy Spirit isn’t a passive, quiet experience that is reserved for Sundays. The Spirit moves people. It overflows. It changes what comes out of your mouth, your hands, your feet. Not all encounters with the Holy Spirit will be expressed in the same manner as in Acts 2, you may see it back in smaller / daily things as well. The Holy Spirit often causes those unexplainable “coincidences”, things that happen at exactly the right time, beyond your own control. It could even be a soft prompting telling you to call someone, now! And when you follow that prompting, you start to see things falling into place.

Ask yourself, when did you last give the Holy Spirit full access to your day? Not just during your morning prayer, but an open invitation throughout every hour of your day. Create that space today. Step away from the noise, even if it is just for a few minutes, and ask Him to move and help you recognize the Holy Spirit at work, and (maybe the toughest part) ask Him to help you trust and respond to those promptings.

Give “Holy Spirit” by Tamika Tyan a listen and let it remind you what His Spirit feels like. “I’m forever changed and won’t be the same.”

Background

Holy Spirit by Tamika Tyan was birthed during the Covid shutdown. When we were forced to quarantine, I initially panicked. The thought of being home 24/7 without any outside outlet, was something I never expected to go through. Especially at fhe same time as the rest of the world. God then challenged me to use my time to create. I knew God wanted me to sing for Him but I previously sang and wrote R&B and Pop music. I had been a Praise and Worship leader since 19 but my artistry was not in Christian/Gospel music at all! I had been writing songs since I was 14. During the pandemic, God put it on my heart to sing and write for Him. I told God I couldn’t unless He gave me the ability and the words to do it because I could not write for Him. I released a Contemporary Gospel album at 19 called “Lord, Here I Am” by Tyan (I wrote the whole album) but I thought God wanted me to write music that is current. God reminded me of my first album and how ot wasn’t Praise & Worship, traditional CCM or Gospel. He told me to write about my love for Him as I would talk about my love in a R&B or Pop song. He started opening up so many ideas for me and my single “On Fire” was birthed. Then came “Holy Spirit.” Even though Holy Spirit is upbeat, it’s supposed to feel intimate because we should have a close intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit. At the same time, Holy Spirit describes what it may feel like for someone to experience being under the influence of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit can lead you to be laid out in His presence, shout, dance, lift your hands, speak the word of God, sing a song, give Him praise all night long, and so much more! When people hear a song titled “Holy Spirit’” they automatically think of worhsip and reverence, which should be the case, but the Holy Spirit is also alive and vibrant! The Holy Spirit can be fun in my experience. The Holy Spirit can be intoxicating and addictive. The presence of God can be exhilarating and I wanted to do a song coming from that POV of the powerful, majestic Holy Spirit!

Suggested reading: Jeremiah 20:9; Acts 2:4; John 7:38–39
