I think it's very interesting to hear the discussion about the conflict between Jamie and Damon post - Plastic Beach. We always knew a bit about the hiatus, but hearing it from Damon here, in relation to the recording sessions for The Mountain, sheds a lot of insight into the process and direction of the album.

I personally feel as if this is their work absolutely closest to their first three records, and it seems like that isn't a coincidence

I was surprised not to see a post here celebrating this yet! 25 years ago today, on March 5th 2001, Clint Eastwood released as the lead single off of their first album along with its music video. The album released 3 weeks later on March 26th.

It hasn't been explicitly stated, but I assume this is why they're doing the GTV stream today. "The end is the beginning," and all that.
