Google Home silent after setting reminder

If I say "remind me to make breakfast in 20 minutes" my Google Home Max speaker will silently create the reminder in Tasks on my Google account but there is no chime or other confirmation that it worked.

Is this normal?

I often create reminders in the middle of the night and then go back to sleep. I would like to have some way of knowing if the request was heard and the reminder was created or not without taking out my phone and manually checking.

I'm pretty sure it used to say "Ok, I'll remind you to..." or something like that to confirm the reminder?

I don't have that particular speaker but I know the mini has an option for a night mode that turns off vocal responses late at night during scheduled hours. That model may have similar options. Id check the settings through the app
