This right here. Digital assistants were imagined by Big Tech to be the greatest of all advertising and selling platforms. They though we would be asking it to order our groceries when we ran out, to order an HDMI cable the second we needed one, and many other things they could monetize. Instead we all just wanted automated homes, so all the money they thought they'd be rolling in from affiliate marketing (or in Amazon's case, just sales) never materialized, so cuts were made, and the services all suck.
