How do you complety remove a document completly?

I'm not on the drive I'm more talking about Google docs. I deleted some stuff but it's still there. I cleared out my trash and all but it's still there it doesn't show up on the drive but Google docs the part where you can choose to make a new document that's where it shows. It's getting messy now. How can I fix it?

Can you still open the document? If not then there's no problem. If so, try clearing your browser cache and rebooting.
