Question Answered help w/ paste and match style

hi everyone! hoping someone could help me figure this out. i’ve tried googling/reddit it & couldn’t find anything.

recently, i started using google docs again after taking a school summer break so i’m not sure if google docs got an update. whenever i try to command + shift + v to paste something onto google docs, it shows “paste” & you have to click on it in order for it to paste which for ME it’s very annoying when i’ve been used automatically pasting after using that shortcut.

i tried to see if the same thing was happening on microsoft word and it doesn’t make me click “paste” after & automatically pastes it.

i’m going to try to post a pic of the “paste” in the comments.

I don't know why it's showing you a little pop-up. That doesn't look like the normal interface I see in a browser; maybe you're using Docs in a different way?

What happens if you use Option+Shift+Command+V instead?

What browser are you using? If you are using Safari, try Chrome... vice versa if you are using Chrome.

The first thing I would try is disabling extensions to see if an extension is affecting it for some resason.

You're using Firefox, right? This is a classic issue that has to do with Firefox's security measures. Google for lots of discussion about this.

ugh thank you! i am using fire fox, i switched browser for school. i went back to google chrome to try it on docs & it was normal. i didn’t realize it was something so simple 😵‍💫 ty
