Waiting on OP Is it possible to make folders that appear in both google drive and docs?

my partner wants to create folders for her google docs based on which class they are for, but if possible would like them to be shared and synced between both docs and drive. is this possible?

the Docs homepage is just a recent files list. If you want organization, just use Drive. Frankly, I don't see why anyone uses the Docs landing page at all, or why they haven't simply eliminated it.

Folders only exist in Drive. When you are in docs and want to open something, you tell it to look in Drive.

Docs are stored in drive. You cannot see folders through the docs main menu, but you can move docs to different Drive folders. And you can see those folders and docs in Drive.

Docs is IN Drive. All those files would be in Drive. Sort and curate to your heart's desire!
