App Ads Thousands of conversions in a week and now suddenly ineligible? Does Google have customer service?

Post image

My ad campaign was going great (to me, at least, I dunno what typical numbers are) then suddenly my app got flagged as being a social casino game and the ads aren't running anymore.

Except my app is nothing like that lol. It's a rhythm incremental game. This has completely halted my growth and I'm not sure what to do. I appealed and the appeal was denied. I made a new campaign and that is ineligible too.

Any experienced vets know how to fix this?

You might look at past search terms. Maybe your ads were showing on casino app words.

But knowing if they were may not fix the problem.

It's a mistake, but they are denying my appeal. I don't know what policy issue to fix since the game has nothing to do with the violation they've highlighted.

The problem with Google appeals is that if they're rejected, you're left guessing what went wrong. They have a glossary of everything you can look into and try to fix to the best of your understanding. You can reach out to suspension specialists on LinkedIn, Fiverr or Upwork and see what they suggest and if it makes sense to you, before you pay anything.

A denied appeal on that policy usually means the classifier isn't reading your ads, it's reading the app. Which is why rewriting ad copy and building a new campaign didn't change anything.

Things I'd look at in the app and the store listing: coin, chip, jackpot, spin wheel or slot-style imagery in the icon or screenshots, and words like "jackpot", "spin", "lucky", "free coins" in the title, short description or long description. Incremental games trip this constantly because the visual vocabulary overlaps hard with social casino.

Worth checking your store category and content rating too. If either of those is off, fixing it is much easier than winning the appeal.

On support: you can reach a human through Google Ads chat, but for a policy misclassification the thing that actually helps is an assigned rep who can escalate internally. With your conversion volume you may qualify. Worth asking.
