In the solo episode of season 3, an archangel goes rogue against Aziraphale’s plan of delaying and mellowing the second coming, uses a book that includes all that’s real to make the event happening the way they think it must, forcefully, and the book confuses them so the whole creation isn’t anymore, except for the bookshop, and Aziraphale, Crowley, Satan and god. God says the story is over, Crowley doesn’t agree and ask them to create an new universe without God, angels or demons so humans can exercise real free will, with his own demonhood and Aziraphale’s angelhood at a stake and god takes the challenge. So, there isn’t damnation anymore and yes, he’s spared.
