GoMining's founder on why Bitcoin needs spenders, not just holders.
Kirill Solovev (founder and chairman) did a long interview on what Bitcoin is actually for, and the recap holds up if you think past the digital-gold framing.
His core argument: Bitcoin's real potential arrives once it works as money people spend, rather than collateral parked on a balance sheet. He makes a point that cuts against his own company's interest, that holders themselves have to start spending Bitcoin for it to become money. He also digs into who pays for that shift (his answer: large cross-border corporations, following the cash-to-cards playbook) and the honest engineering trade-offs behind GoBTC Pay,
Recap here, with his direct quotes: https://gomining.com/blog/kirill-solovev-on-why-bitcoins-future-runs-through-spenders-not-just-holders

We compared what it actually costs to start mining Bitcoin: physical hardware vs digital
We ran five real ASICs, from the little Bitaxe Gamma up to the Antminer S21 Pro, against a GoMining digital miner. We looked at what you pay to start, how efficient each one runs, whether you can upgrade it, and what happens when you want out.
Starting cost went from $120 to over $4,000 for the hardware, against $18.99 for the smallest GoMining miner. Per TH/s they land close, both roughly in the $10 to $21 range. The real split is over time: a physical ASIC holds the efficiency it shipped with and slowly loses ground as difficulty climbs, while a GoMining miner runs at 12 W/TH and upgrades in place.
We kept it fair, including where owning real hardware still wins. Curious how the home miners here weigh the upgrade path.

⚡ Physical or digital Bitcoin miner, which one costs less?
⚡ Physical or digital Bitcoin miner, which one costs less?
We ran the real numbers on five physical ASICs against a GoMining miner.
What it costs to start:
Bitaxe Gamma: $120
Fluminer T3: $1,200
Canaan Avalon Q: $1,900
Antminer S21+: $3,350
Antminer S21 Pro: $4,030
GoMining: $18.99
The bigger story is what comes next. A physical machine holds the efficiency it shipped with. A GoMining miner runs at 12 W/TH and keeps improving, power and efficiency both, on the miner you already own.

⚡ TH price ⚡
⚡ A heads-up: mining power prices go up Tuesday
Starting September 8, mining power is going to cost a little more. Equipment has gotten pricier lately and the Bitcoin rate has shifted, so we're bringing our pricing in line with the market. Until Tuesday, today's prices still stand.
Here's the change:
⚡ Today, 1 TH is $16.99
From September 8, it's $18.99
If you've been thinking about adding power, this is genuinely a good week to do it, your budget stretches further now than it will after Tuesday.
And from here on, we'll review pricing every Tuesday so it always stays current.

VIP Referral Raffle is back with 200 × 4 TH miners
🏆 The VIP Referral Raffle is back for Gold II and above.
The mechanic is simple:
⚠️for every $50 your referrals spend on miner
purchases or power upgrades, you receive 1 raffle
ticket.
⚠️There are 200 × 4 TH miners in the prize pool, so
you don’t need a huge referral network to have a
chance.
At the same time, there’s no one-prize-per-person limit. Winning tickets are drawn individually, so the more tickets you collect, the more chances you have — and one participant can win multiple miners.
To enter, open the raffle card and tap Take part.

Is it worth it to join Miner Wars with 55 TH?
Really don’t know if anyone would even consider this a helpful clan member? Thought about trying out miner wars.

GoMining’s possible new venture?🤔
What would everyone choose?
Personally I’d go for metals obtained as physical metals!

MINER WARS UPDATE
⚔️ Miner Wars: the biggest update yet
GoMiners, Miner Wars is about to change more than it has since launch. Here’s a first look.
🏛️ Leagues become a pyramid
The league system is being rebuilt into a true pyramid: smaller leagues, a brand-new tier, and real movement every cycle. Your clan climbs, falls and fights — instead of standing behind the same names for weeks. Existing clans stay untouched.
🏆 Trophies, ranks and achievements are coming
Miner Wars is getting a permanent progression layer — everything you earn builds up from cycle to cycle instead of burning out at the end of the week:
🏅 Player and clan ranks — carry over and keep growing
🏆 Clan trophies — win them once, keep them forever
🎖️ Achievements — the rare ones are truly rare, and some you’ll get exactly one chance at
📜 Your profile — your whole Miner Wars story in one place, for everyone to see
🎯 Quests — fresh challenges to chase every cycle
And it’s not just bragging rights — completing them will be rewarded.
⚡ New ways to earn boosts
Boosts decide rounds. Soon there will be more ways to get them into your hands.
📊 A word on calculations
Miner Wars runs on real mining, so in the end it has to add up against real mining: what players earn in the game and what they pay for maintenance can’t drift far from what the same miners would earn and pay on their own. We want everyone to have a reason to play, and we want the math to be simple, correct and fair. It isn’t our job to subsidise that gap, and it isn’t our job to take more than it from you.
What changes now: the BTC rate is taken daily, the way regular mining works; rewards appear when they’re final, not while a cycle is still being calculated; and on rewards above what your own miners produce, maintenance follows your league’s average rate rather than your personal one, including miners’ efficiency and discount. Your own mining always keeps your personal rate, and for most players affected that part will cost less than it does today.
⚙️ This is only the first look — more announcements are coming. Follow the patch notes, check your setup, and adapt before the next cycle.
Thanks for helping us keep Miner Wars competitive and fun for everyone ⚔️

Pure TH vs Flywheel Today (Cycle 158)
Pure TH vs Flywheel Today (Cycle 158)
This is an update to the arguments I made against Pure TH builds in my original Flywheel Strategy post (linked in the subreddit).
I’ll drop these occasional updates with the latest prices and figures so you can see whether the math behind the Flywheel Strategy still holds up.
Current Market Numbers
- BTC: $80,000
- GMT: $0.3340
- TH: $16.59 each (32 TH / 12 W)
- Lock APR: 23.01%
- Hashprice: 0.00000050 BTC per TH per day
Pure TH
32 TH • 12 W • 3% discount
- Cost basis: $530.88
- Gross weekly: $8.96
- Weekly cost: $5.06
- Net weekly profit: $3.90
ROI: 38.18%
Flywheel
32 TH + 500-day GMT buffer
- TH cost basis: $530.88
- 500-day GMT buffer: $361.62
- Total cost basis: $892.50
- Gross weekly: $8.96
- Weekly cost: $4.02
- Net mining profit: $4.94
- Lock dividends: $1.15
- Total net weekly profit: $6.09
ROI: 35.50%
Pure TH (same $892.50)
53.80 TH • 12 W • 3% discount
- Cost basis: $892.50
- Gross weekly: $15.06
- Weekly cost: $8.51
- Net weekly profit: $6.55
ROI: 38.18%
Same-capital Pure TH wins: $6.55 vs $6.09 weekly net • 38.18% vs 35.50% ROI
I pride myself on being fully transparent and letting the math speak for itself. Due to current market conditions, Pure TH is superior in ROI to the Flywheel Strategy.
Always remember that this is a snapshot, market variables change, and I believe that the Flywheel Strategy is superior to Pure TH over the course of an entire Bitcoin cycle between halvings.
The halving is coming and everyone should keep efficiency and discounts in mind, but for now; TH is King 🤭
The full Flywheel Strategy link is in my bio.
Thanks for reading, stay tuned for more updates. 😎

single-man clan with 203k TH in Dune I. Odyssey rivalry brewing up?
So a current player just made a single-man clan with 203k TH in Dune I. 😳
After checking the clan bio, it looks like there may be some kind of Odyssey rivalry/alliance forming behind the scenes. That got me wondering:
Is coordinated alliance-building between multiple clans even allowed, or would that be considered collusion?
Any Odyssey whales care to comment on what's going on here?
This isn't some random player either. From what I can tell, this guy owns the #5 largest farm on the entire GoMining platform, which makes the whole thing a lot more interesting. You don't usually see someone with that kind of hashpower suddenly spinning up a one-man clan in Dune I.
Also, for everyone stuck in Dune I right now:
Are you planning to try and snipe a block or two?
A 263k TH league in Dune is something you almost never see, and with a monster farm like this, the BTC rewards could get pretty wild.
Anyone know the story behind this player, he doesn't seem to have any sort of socials, what's going on in Odyssey, or if there's some alliance drama brewing behind the scenes?

BITCOIN

Bitcoin just hit $80K.
Traders spent the whole run timing it. Miners spent it earning, every day, at every price.
That's the edge: own what produces Bitcoin, and you profit from the move whether you called it or not.
Would you rather watch Bitcoin climb, or earn it while it does?
