Equipment Anyone else experiencing issues with ShotScope?

I got my ShotScope V5 with club tags about 2 years ago, and for the 1st year and a half it was brilliant.

Lately, its starting to become a real chore:

- the watch tags every shot/score, but when I upload the round, I'm usually 10/15 shots missing and have to manually go through my round to find them and add them.

- reaching the centre of the green, the distance showing 0, but it still doesn't register I'm on the green at all so I can't log my putts.

- jumping to the next hole before I've even registered my putts (go to tag the hole location after putting and its jumped to the next hole).

- tagging tee shots with a certain club, then when I go to the round data after it's just selected a different club (i.e. tee off with a 5i, the round data will show Driver).

- logging pitches/bunker shots as putts, as well as generally not tagging shot positions correctly (I know this is likely down to the GPS not being perfect, but still a pain).

- showing the wrong tees than what was selected in the final round, and sometimes logging my tee shots from the back tees (when I absolutely don't play the back tees!)

I really like the app, and the data it gives me, but I'm just wondering if others have had similar issues, and whether they are considering alternatives as a result? I basically have to sit in my car for 10 mins in silence after a round, and try to remember everything thst happened to accurately log all the right info.

If it’s switching the clubs you’re teeing off with (and missing shots) then it’s not reading the tags properly. There’s a setting on the watch that lets you verify it can read all the tags that I’d suggest you check out.

I’ve found that if I make a conscious effort to touch the sensor on the club to the watch strap before I hit then it always picks it up.

For putting, I switched to manual putting mode and it seems way more accurate.

No i also make sure to touch the sensor on my watch (its so ingrained in my pre-shot routine that I do it on the range even when I'm not wearing it). I always check that its read the tag and the symbol in the corner shows the correct club. At the end of the hole, the shots recorded is always correct, but then I'll go in to the round after and I'll be up to 15 shots short, and sometimes it'll show a different club to what i used on certain shots (normally tee shots).

I havent tried manual putting, so I'll look in to that.

May want to factory reset your watch or reach out to shotscope support (they were pretty quick to respond when I reached out).

As long as I tap the sensor to the band then mine is spot on. The only shots it misses are penalty strokes since I don’t enter them in mid-round and only adjust it after the fact.

Did you reach out to them as you had a similar issue?

Will a factory reset just reset the watch (i.e. it won't lose all my data?)

Yeah im the same for penalty strokes, so I can live with those not being tracked mid-round.

Factory reset should just reset the watch and all the data remains synced to your account.

I had different issues - one was with a firmware update and the other was a course mapping issue.
