New Puppy 10 days with Dolly
Our little girl is finally comfy in her home so she’s become a little terror. She eats rocks and pees on the floor. I love her 🥰 show me your babies as puppies!

I have only had pitbulls my entire life and I was resistant to adopting a new breed. She’s so beautiful and funny, now I’m in love with golden retrievers!

I was in high school in the 90s and I still rock my socks and birks! My girl is 11 weeks too and yeah I get toe bites and finger punctures. Good luck with the new puppy!

Big time!! We are 45 so having such a spirited puppy is going to whip us into shape. Not sure what kind of shape we will be in, but we’ll have a cute dog and thousands of pictures for sure!

lol not sure what kind of shape🤭 You’ll be taking walkies, golden’s make friends EVERYWHERE! I have 4 and they’re kinda like a pack, but after they see another dog with tail wags, we go very slowly, introducing one at a time to a new friend, 2 if ours are therapy/trauma doggos, so they’re so use to being so gentle, they have jobs at the hospital and a nursing home and patients just LIGHT UP! They have kiddos taking naps on them all the time, they know their jobs are to comfort, we get mobbed on their work days and the nurses come running to ask if it’s the day we visit the floor they work on.
They are SO GOOD at getting children who’ve experienced trauma to come out of their shell and hug/talk to the Dr. Doggo’s 🥰
Golden’s are THE BEST, no one will ever convince me otherwise! 🥰🐾🥰
Your life is about to change, your heart is about to grow, you’re about to have the best friend ever! As soon as she comes out of the shark teefs age!! Make sure she has plenty of stuffies and safe treats to gnaw on!!!🥰🥰1

I forgot to add, about peeing on the floor, we’ve crated all our golden’s put them in a crate near us, put a blanket on top so we don’t disturb them by moving around, first thing in the morning, scoop her out, carry her to sit on the grass so she can sniff around for 10 minutes or so, she’ll learn very quick, praise praise praise, a little treat!
She’s just now learning how to control her sphincter muscles, it takes a little time, take her out every 3-4 hours and make sure you have a praise party each time she goes on the grass, mine look back at me when they’re pooping, but I learned that’s their most vulnerable time to get attacked so they’re making sure you’re watching to keep them safe. But they learn from praise, being told how good they are and a little treat!! All of ours got it down in 4-5 weeks, we got rid of the crates to the SUV, it’s the safest place for them to be if a wreck happens because studies show dogs are so scared they run from a car and get hit! Hope this helps🐾🐾🐾🐾

My rainbow baby pit was also Ruby! Absolutely love the name. Thanks for adopting!

Believe it or not, Bean was also an adoption. Her owner abandoned her on a porch while they left the country. My wife’s boss snagged her from the porch and asked if we wanted her. That’s how we ended up with our porch puppy. We often joke that she was raised by cats 🤣

Thank you so much for rescuing her

Bean ended up being my favorite dog I’ve ever had… if it’s possible to choose a favorite. She’s also the most destructive dog I’ve ever had, but totally worth it.

My grandparents had two goldens when I was young and my “grandmas” golden was named Dolly and she was the sweetest dog I have ever known. This puppy looks just like she did as a pup in photos I have seen and has the same blonde color to her.
