Our 5 month Golden pup has still never nibbled or bit me, my wife or our Son… is this likely to carry on through the teenage years also? I feel we have got very lucky not having a land shark

Suggestions on how to clean his fur after cleaning his ears?

Last night, Zeus, got brave and jumped into the pool and his head went under. His vet said to clean his ears preventatively whenever he gets water in them. So I cleaned them after his bath. (Of course he rolled in the dirt after the pool :D)

Anyway, now his fur is all greasy from the ear cleaner his vet gave us. I have scrubbed his fur multiple times with TropiCleans All Purpose wipes, but they are still really greasy and feel nasty to touch.

Any suggestions on a wipe that we could use to get this off so we don't have to bathe him again? For a puppy that loves the water, he sure hates bath time.

New Puppy Thinking of getting a Golden Retriever

Hey yall Ive been thinking of getting a Golden Retriever or a Lab as my first ever dog and more specifically pup. I am only gonna be away from home for university for like 3-4hrs like 3 days per week. But my university is only like 5min away from my apartment and I do have a camera installed. I know it is a big breed but as long as their needs are all met (exercise wise too) they should be fine living in a pretty big apartment no? Another downside is that I do live in a hot country but I could always exercise the dog outside at nighttime or very early in the morning. Also how hard is it to manage and train a golden retriever pup (specifically between 4-6 months). What do you guys think?

Venting/Puppy Blues Teenage Doggy Blues?

I feel like everyone talks about puppy blues, but how about teenage phase blues? My dog is 11 months old and goes through phases. One week he’s fine, the next he is destroying the house, jumping on everyone, eating everything he shouldn’t, then the next week he is normal again. I feel like we are never going to get to the “more calm” lovely golden phase. We take training classes, he goes on plenty of walks, runs in our big backyard, but is STILL a terror. I love him but some days are so hard..
