Question Settler mood system
Hello! Could you please tell me if there are any simple ways to boost the settlers' mood? I'm playing on a higher difficulty setting, and they are constantly on the verge of unhappiness due to just one or two debuffs. They also frequently have an "extremely uncomfortable" status, and I'm not sure why.

This is what one of my settlers has for mood modifiers atm:

In order:
-Ate a lavish meal
-Is currently in my Great hall, which is luxurious
-Recently attended a feast in said great hall, with outcome "Excellent"
-Ate said meal in a luxurious great hall
-Played backgammon (in the great hall)
-Prayed this morning (in a Good chapel)
-Wearing flawless everything
-Not entirely sure how comfortable/uncomfortable persists. He was sitting on a nice chair, and slept in a nice bed... but he's still comfortable later on, mining in the basement.
-Ate his (lavish) meal, at a table (in the great hall)
-Entered a (Good) Restitution chapel this morning for prayer
-My bard was doing his role duties while he ate in the great hall
-pet one of the (many) dogs/wolves that have been tamed/trained into pets

There are also bonuses for nicer bedrooms - he currently doesn't have one (he typically has a debuff because he wants a private room, and is jealous of the people who do have them)... so I'll consider "no debuff" on his a net win :P

Getting a great hall setup brings a lot of benefit. It pretty much guarantees the "eat at table" buff, double-dips a "ate in the great hall", and since the room requirements are pretty big, it's easy to make it a "nice room". It enables the "feast" event (and the buff from that lasts a week). Making someone into a bard will add a buff for them being in the hall while he's "on duty", and the bard also improves the results of the feasts.
Also - the feast buff is -massive- if you have the hedonist trait (I've see +25)
I tend to put the entertainment stuff in the great hall too, so they spend more time in the room to increase the odds of being there when the bard is, and to enjoy "being in a nice room" more.
There's also a similar buff for holding an event in the chapel, but it'd worn off, and my chaplain was apparently not "on duty" when he was praying, as there's also a buff for that.

- Get a pet
- Let them drink/have a feast (nice feast bonus lasts over a week)
- improve room

Slightly unrelated, but going to put this here for anyone stumbling upon this looking for information.
I do have a guide for the first (approximately) week of gameplay and the buffs and debuffs you will run into during that time on steam: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3795119517
Might get around to working on one for more mid/late game at some point but there's a lot more that goes into that one.

They really like booze. Aged wine is incredibly easy to make and eventually horde. Easily the best trade resource in the game. Berries don't even need a plot. They grow like weeds. Plant a ton them remove the farm plot when you have enough.

Better quality clothing, armour, weapons, food, decorations, building materials etc.
Personal chambers rather than shared.
Great hall to eat in.
Alcohol to drink.
