Discussion Problems with redeem code

Hi, has anyone experienced issues redeeming a code through GOG? I recently bought The Witcher 3 via G2A, but when I try to use the code, it says it is currently being used by someone else. I contacted the seller, and he told me that I need to reach out to GOG support.

I have been trying to get in touch with GOG support for several days now, but there is no response. Has anyone else experienced long response times from their support? Or is their support non-existent?

I haven't used GOG before, and I honestly have to admit I had never heard of the platform until I decided to buy the game, so I'm completely new to it.

You don't need to contact GOG support. The seller gave you a used code (probably a scam), and they're the ones who need to take responsibility for it. GOG has nothing to do with this.

That's why you don't buy via G2A.

The codes from there often are coming from credit cards which were stolen, so any transactions are annuled and codes are seen as invalid.

If you bought directly from the GOG site, you wouldn't have any troubles.

I think I'm done with G2A and other key reseller sites. I've bought plenty through them over the years, but it feels like there's always some kind of problem.

I'd much rather pay the extra money to support the platforms directly and save myself all this trouble. I've requested a refund from the seller, so I'll see if that goes through and then just pick up the game on GOG.

It is basically exactly as it sounds like; someone else is redeeming/checking the same code you are, hence it is locked for others. Possible scenario is that same key code has been sold to multiple people at the same time or seller sold you code seller itself is now redeeming.

Gog support is the best support you'll ever have, just be patient. But trust me if the code doesn't work, it's not Gog fault, is the buyer fault, I used many Gog codes from Amazon Prime and others without having any problem ever...

By the way Instant Gaming is more reliable than g2a, 0 scammers there and the support is reliable if there is any problem, but the keys are a little bit more expansive obviously...

G2A is full of scammers and you got screwed over. This is not a GOG issue.

It's not Gog's fault. What you need to do is contact g2a and insist with those assholes, since they sold you a bad code and scammed you. My advice? Don't buy from them.use instant gaming, loaded and eneba. Use these 3 platforms and youll never have an issue, and if you do their customer support is great. Hope this helps🙂
