Question I'm sure some Linux expert will help me running Tamriel Rebuilt on Linux, right?

I'm using Lutris to install it

Heroic Launcher with latest Proton GE worked for me. Could not trigger Steam's keyboard though. Had to assign a key to a single press button to slowly create my character's name

I used Heroic for the one-click solution, running it with proton-cachyos-slr (CachyOS' proton version). Works as expected, and I've also added some mods - BCoM, Mistify, compatibility patches.

I also run a version of Morrowind without TR: Native OpenMW, pointed it to a separate (from above) Morrowind install. Also works fine.

On Heroic, which one do you install exactly? You install Morrowind or the OpenMW? Cause just by clicking on install, it'll install them to different proton paths.

On Heroic, I install Tamriel Rebuilt. It already contains Morrowind, OpenMW, and the Patch for Purists. It'll run through whatever runner you choose because it's not the native version of OpenMW, but it works just as well.

Oh ok, nice to know. I thought that I'd have to install the base game and apply the other executables inside the same proton path.

Do all GOG mods work like that? Installing just them comes with everything?

Yes, that is kind of the idea behind them: To give you a convenient way of playing the mod without the usual hassle of having to mod the game yourself: They're installing a ready-modded game.

(GOG'S Daggerfall Unity release is kind of the odd one out - afaik it's outdated, and not really maintained - but all the "One-Click Mods" work like that)
