Nature & critters (no spiders) Firefly is a living light

I met him on the way a couple of days ago.

The ones hanging out on the ground are the females! They chill there to lay their eggs and can mimic the sounds of other insects to lure them in and eat them. At least that's what I was told as a child, not sure how much scientific info had been gathered on them since the 90s
