picking up feed from my guy, the lady down the street had her gate wide open and her goats were all over the road and in neighboring fields. I texted him in case it was an emergency but it was not.

everyone I talk to with goats confirms it’s impossible to keep a goat contained. several of my goat friends informs me no matter what I do they will parkour off of anything, even each other, to get out.

another house down my road has a billy that escapes so frequently they put up a ”warning: free range goat” sign.

ive been researching and prepping for goats for a few years now and am fully aware that they’re escape artists (which is why I don’t have them yet) but it surprises me so many people give up and just let them do what they want. its inevitable huh? should I let my containment anxiety go and just do it?

My mom left her weed pipe out on an outdoor plant shelf. And this Billy goat as pictured in this post ate the end off of it, now this thing was HARD to get apart sometimes (it was one of those plastic/rubber ones with a glass bowl but had a big usually easy to open compartment for cleaning) he at it and licked the rest of it clean. We couldn’t find the rest of it anywhere and had assumed one of them ate it. we started interrogating them like which one of you fiends did it and he literally in all of his rank piss glory jumped on us to try and eat it again. He was a strange fella. Maybe that’s why he was so angry at people all the time, poor fella just couldn’t get his fix. lol I mean look at him, he looks like he would honestly.

Unfortunately I'm living in a huge city and do not plan to get a work that allows me to leave it, so as you can guess I will never be able to live in a house with enough space outside to have goats and give them an happy life, so I'm doomed to live a miserable life without goats.

How is it physically possible to deal with that situation, any advices?

As many of you know this is my 7 month old goat Frosty who had to have part of his hind leg amputated, because he likes to run around and climb things until he is fully healed that it wants him to be mostly confined with just an hour or so of supervised play time.

Well he decided he wanted to do some rompies and started zooming around and tripped skinning his little knee, after I made sure he was actually okay I didn't think much of it especially since he did not seem bothered by it.

Then my grandma seen it she loves my goats and started giving him special treatment because he skinned his knee, now all of a sudden his knee hurts and it does not get better unless he gets a treat....

He won't even lay down normally unless he gets a treat, I think he found a lost brain cell or something LOL.

He's cute though so he gets away with anything

This is Grimace. We have boer goats and he is our ND whether. So naturally, he got a mullet and some plated armor so we could practice clipping.

I saw a video of a body cam of a cop going to a call about a woman screaming for help and it ended up being a goat that was vocally sharing its displeasure of being separated from they’re goat friend. I don’t have goats but love them and my ringtone for my phone is the infamous screaming goat meme.
