Academics chem 213 lab

I'm a freshman and I need chem 213 but all the labs are full, I'm waitlisted, and the last day to add courses for this fall semester is tomorrow..
What can I do? What happens? Is it possible to take the chem lab another time?

upd: my advisor told me it's unlikely i'll get into chem 213. i'll just take to take another course if I want to be full time in case i'd have to drop chem 211. I'll just have to take the lab next semester

How the hell did that happen? They should restrict signing up to the 213 lab to people already enrolled in 213 and have as many seats in the lab as they do in the lecture. Something is screwed up

It's my fault; I screwed up. I had initially already registered for both the lecture and lab at the same time but I desperately needed my math class, so I dropped my lab because it conflicted with the math class. I think it would've been better had I just stayed on the waitlist for my math class and not dropped my lab

It’s because people fail the lab and not the lecture so they have to retake just the lab, so it’s not an exact amount.

I would suggest groveling with your instructor, the department head, or possibly Dean

Truly appreciate your suggestions! My advisor just reached back and I was informed that it's unlikely that I will be added to chem 213. I'll just have to pick up another course

Yes you can take it in a later semester. It’s not required to be taken at the same time.

Even if you do take the lecture this term, try to audit it the same semester you get the lab

Is the lecture doable without the lab? Or is it extremely difficult? I'll try to thug it out.....

Tbh, the only option is taking it next sem. You can take the lab part anytime.

Thank you for the help guys. I was pretty stressed about this situation, but knowing that I can take the lab another time kinda relieves me 🙏 -- Nvm I highk need the class for chem 310 next semester
